The Barr Brothers Set To Open Mumford & Sons’ Arena Tour This October

The Barr Brothers' first major headlining tour since 2019 will begin a month earlier than previously expected. Mumford & Sons tapped the Montreal-based siblings to support the first nine dates of their North American Fall Arena Tour October 8 – 20.

Guitarist Brad Barr and drummer Andrew Barr are returning to the road together just before the release of their new album, Let It Hiss, on October 17 via Secret City Records. The self-produced, 10-track follow-up to 2017’s Queens Of The Breakers ends a gap of eight years between Barr Brothers records.

Michael Kiwanuka was originally slated to open the nine shows. Mumford & Sons put out a new announcement listing The Barr Brothers and Stephen Sanchez as support in Michael Kiwanuka’s place. The Instagram Stories post did not address the reason why Kiwanuka dropped off the tour.

Andrew Barr will pull double duty over the course of the nine dates, as he has been Mumford & Sons' drummer for their 2025 tour in support of Rushmere. The Barr Brothers have likely circled October 17 on the calendar, when they’ll perform at Bell Centre in their hometown of Montreal with Mumford & Sons.

Mumford & Sons’ Rushmere Tour resumes on October 8 at Chicago’s United Center. The Barr Brothers and Stephen Sanchez will kick off the action in Chicago as well as in St. Paul on October 9, Milwaukee on October 11, Columbus on October 12, Philadelphia on October 14, Buffalo on October 16, Montreal on October 17, Pittsburgh on October 19 and Detroit on October 20.

The Barr Brothers start the headlining portion of their Let It Hiss Tour on November 4 in Burlington, Vermont. Brad & Andrew Barr will bring the jaunt across the Eastern half of the U.S. and Canada before closing the excursion with a hometown show in Montreal on November 29.
