Multi-Cam Video: Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Perform ‘Everyday’ With Vusi Mahlasela

Last month, Dave Matthews Band guitarists Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds headlined the inaugural Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Riviera Maya destination event at the Barceló Maya Beach Resort in Mexico. One of the highlights of the event came on the final day, when Dave and Tim were joined by South African musician Vusi Mahlasela for a series of songs including “Everyday.” A new video on YouTube combines multiple sources of footage from the performance of “Everyday” with custom audio.

YouTube’s ChesterCopperpot5 used footage from six different videographers and created the custom audio used on the video below. The “Everyday” Matthews and Reynolds performed with Mahlasela in Mexico currently stands as the only version of the title track from DMB’s 2001 studio album played by Dave and Tim in recent years. Vusi shows off his vocal range by adding harmonies to the tune and also scat sings at one point. He then displays his dancing skills to the approval of the crowd.
