Moon Taxi Releases Live Album On Spotify

Last December 31st, for the seventh straight year, Moon Taxi rang in the new year with a hometown concert in Nashville. The band has officially shared a recording of their performance from the War Memorial Auditorium as a live album released on Spotify entitled New Year’s Eve 2015.

“We’re excited to put out a new live release for our fans,” said Moon Taxi guitarist Spencer Thomson. “It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while. We think people will enjoy hearing the new songs in this format. That show was a great celebration of a great year in our hometown. We’re glad we captured it on record.“

Featuring live renditions of selections from their 2015 LP Daybreaker, along with songs from 2013’s Mountains Beaches Cities and 2012’s Cabaret, the new album is composed of 10-tracks recorded by Grammy Award winning engineer Ross Gower on December 31, 2015. In support of the live release, the group will appear at a number of festivals in the coming months, including stops at Firefly, Forecastle, Hangout and Lockn’.
