Moon Taxi Covers My Morning Jacket In Louisville

On Friday night Moon Taxi brought their tour to Louisville, Kentucky for a gig at the Iroquois Amphitheater. The rock act nodded to their surroundings by serving up a cover from local heroes My Morning Jacket during their encore.

The five-piece act opened up their night in The Bluegrass State with “All Night Long” from their 2015 release Daybreaker. From there the band would work their way through selections from four of their studio efforts including a trio of songs from Let The Record Play which was released earlier this year. When Moon Taxi emerged for their encore they surprised fans as they delivered a take on My Morning Jacket’s “Victory Dance.” The band delivered a faithful rendering of the tune from the Louisville-birthed band’s 2011 album Circuital.
