Molly Tuttle will change course this summer when she tours with a new backing band after four years leading Golden Highway down the road and in the studio. Tuttle revealed her new bandmates via a social media post and mentioned she’ll still headline the RockyGrass festival accompanied by Golden Highway.

“Excited for a new chapter… Can’t wait to get out on the road this summer with an all new incredible band,” Tuttle began her note. “We have been in rehearsals all week and I can promise you won’t want to miss this!”

Molly Tuttle’s new band will find her joined by versatile multi-instrumentalist Ellen Angelico, guitarist-mandolinist Mary “Mair” Meyer, bassist Vanessa McGowan and drummer Megan Jane. Tuttle also confirmed a special show for the ensemble at New York City’s Mercury Lounge on June 24. Tickets for the underplay go on sale this Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. ET.

“Wishing my Golden Highway bandmates all the success in each of their exciting new adventures,” Tuttle’s statement continued. Golden Highway consists of fiddler Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, mandolinist Dominick Leslie, bass player Shelby Means and banjo player Kyle Tuttle. As noted, the band will reunite for “one more encore performance” on July 25 at RockyGrass 2025 in Lyons, Colorado at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch.

Molly Tuttle formed Golden Highway in 2021. The collective backed Tuttle on her two latest full-length studio albums — 2022’s Crooked Tree and 2023’s City Of Gold – which earned Molly and the band consecutive Grammys for Best Bluegrass Album.

The singer-songwriter and her new band will devote most of the summer to festival appearances. Molly Tuttle will bring the group to GoPro Mountain Of Music, All Good Now, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Mountain Jam and several other events.
