moe. wrapped their 2025 Winter Tour with a performance at the Miami Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach, Florida on Saturday. The jam vets welcomed opener Mihali for a cover of a Jimmy Cliff classic.
moe. — guitarists Al Schnier and Chuck Garvey, bassist Rob Derhak, percussionist Jim Loughlin, drummer Vinnie Amico and keyboardist Nate Wilson — launched the Amico-curated setlist with the Al oldie “Tailspin.” The band then turned to a song they revived in 2025, “Calyphornya.” moe. fittingly brought the song back for the first time since 2018, as per Phantasy Tour stats, at a concert in Los Angeles earlier this year.

Nate Wilson’s “In Stride” came next, a tune moe. recorded for their 2025 studio album, Circle of Giants. An Al song, “Livin’ Again,” and a Rob tune, “Brittle End,” followed before the band brought Mihali out for Jimmy Cliff’s reggae standard “The Harder They Come.”
“The Harder They Come” — which Cliff wrote for the 1972 film of the same name, which he also starred in — is something of a rarity for moe. PT has the band debuting the song in 1997 and it remained in steady rotation until 2002. Since then, the band has played it roughly a couple of times a year, although it has dropped off the shelf for entire years in that time.
The 2025 Miami Bandshell edition of “The Harder They Come” marked moe.’s first performance of the song since March 6, 2024, for a gap of 75 shows. Mihali fronted the band on “The Harder They Come,” playing guitar and singing as Schnier took a breather. The reggae number was also a staple for the Jerry Garcia Band, and JGB’s version certainly colored moe. and Mihali’s rendition. After Mihali departed, moe. continued with “Bearsong” and concluded the first frame with “Bat Country.”
Set two got underway with a four-song seamless sequence beginning with “Big World” and “Ricky Marten.” Chuck Garvey then stepped to the mic for his “Hi and Lo,” which gave way to “Bring You Down.” The sextet then offered the Traffic favorite “Light Up or Leave Me Alone.”
Vintage tunes “Jazz Wank” and “Buster” sealed the second set, with the latter stretching to nearly 18 minutes. moe. returned to encore with Steely Dan’s “Do It Again,” a fitting number to wrap their winter tour as the band gears up for the rest of 2025.
