Michael Franti & Spearhead Performs For WFUV

Earlier this year Michael Franti & Spearhead issued Stay Human Vol. II via Thirty Tigers. As part of the promotional cycle for the album, the socio-politically-charged singer-songwriter stopped by New York City public radio station WFUV for a live session that was recorded in late-January.

Franti along with his longtime backing band Spearhead performed three tracks from the 14-track LP that was heavily influenced by the musician’s award-winning self-directed documentary Stay Human. Franti & Co., who were also joined by Victoria Canal, who appears on the album, offered up takes on the “Nobody Cries Alone,” “Stay Human 2” and “The Flower.”
