Metal icons Metallica are featured in a number of newly released videos. The band appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and issued several official videos for tracks on their album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct that comes out tomorrow.
Host Jimmy Fallon tapped the heavy metal rockers to participate in one of the show’s Classroom Instruments performance segments. Featuring James Hetfield on toy clarinet, Lars Ulrich on a Fisher Price drum and toy cymbals, Robert Trujillo on a baby electric axe, along with The Roots including Questlove on hand clappers and kazoo and Captain Kirk on ukulele and Fallon adding bass drum, casio keyboard and kazoo, the ensemble played Metallica’s classic “Enter Sandman.” Watch the cozy performance here:
Metallica also released several videos for songs from their new album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct. The record coming out on Friday will be their first set of all new material since 2008. It includes the tracks “Now That We’re Dead,” “ManUNkind,” “Confusion,” “Spit Out the Bone,” “Halo On Fire,” “Here Comes Revenge,” “Am I Savage?,” “Murder One,” “Lords Of Summer” and “Dream No More.” Joining previously shared videos of the other LP tracks, recently posted videos for each of those songs (among them a tribute to late Motörhead bassist Lemmy Kilmister on “Murder One”), can be viewed below:
