Members Of The Lil’ Smokies Sit-In With Greensky Bluegrass In California & Nevada

For the past two evenings headliners Greensky Bluegrass have held concerts featuring opening act The Lil Smokies. Both Thursday’s show in Los Angeles and last night’s show in Lake Tahoe featured members of The Lil’ Smokies sitting-in with GSBG.

Dobro player Andy Dunnigan was a guest of Greensky Bluegrass at the Teragram Ballroom in L.A. and again Friday night at Crystal Bay Casino. Thursday’s collaboration took place during Greensky’s second set with Dunnigan and fiddler Jake Simpson coming out for “Working on a Building,” “Butcher Boy” and “Steam Powered Aeroplane.” Dunnigan again joined the headliners last night, bringing banjoist Matt Cornette along for “Frederico” and “Reuben’s Train” to close out the second set.

Greensky Bluegrass and The Lil’ Smokies play again tonight, Saturday November 5 at The Warfield in San Francisco. Below check out audience-shot video footage from the show on Thursday in L.A.:
