The Wheels Of Soul Tour led by Tedeschi Trucks Band made a stop Sunday night at PNC Pavilion in Cincinnati. Once again the headliners welcomed back members of the tour’s pair of supporting acts, Drive-By Truckers and The Marcus King Band.
Guitarists Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi led their band mates on an opening rendition of “Part Of Me.” A few songs later they brought out fellow guitarist Marcus King to assist on a performance of the blues standard “Key To The Highway.” DBT keyboardist Jay Gonzalez was the next guest to emerge, coming on stage to augment an offering of “High & Mighty.” Gonzalez’s band mates, guitarists Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood, also sat-in with TTB, joining the headliners on Bob Dylan’s “Gone Gone Gone.”
After closing the main set with “The Storm” > “Whipping Post,” Tedeschi Trucks band performed Joe Tex’s “Show Me” with King and his band mates getting in on the action. The Wheels Of Soul Tour rolls on to BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove in Southaven, Mississippi on Wednesday, July 25. Watch videos from Cincy below:
