Chicago-based producer Manic Focus will release his fifth studio album, Minds Rising, on April 21. Today, the electro-soul composer has unveiled the LP’s first single, “Stronger.”
“Stronger” features contributions from Late Night Radio, Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band) and Adam Deitch (Lettuce/Break Science). The song comes from Minds Rising, an album nearly two years in the making and Manic Focus’s first full-length LP since 2014’s Cerebral Eclipse. Minds Rising showcases Manic Focus mastermind John “JmaC” McCarten’s sample-free, 100% original compositions laden with rowdy rhythm and vocal features from ProbCause and Psalm One, horn arrangements from Russ Liquid and more.
