Rising bluegrass quartet Magoo announced their debut album, What A Life, arriving on February 27. The band also announced headlining 2026 Tour dates around the new record.

Magoo are an impressive bluegrass outfit based out of Denver featuring guitarist Erik Hill, dobro player Dylan Flynn, bassist Denton Turner and mandolinist Courtlyn Bills. Accolades for the band include first place at the UllrGrass Band Competition and Clash of the Strings as well as a second place showing at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition.

Magoo is now ready to continue their rise with the release of the debut full-length album What A Life. Press materials further detailed the record, including mastering work from Grammy-winning engineer David Glasser, who has worked on recordings by the Grateful Dead.

The band is thrilled to formally introduce themselves with a debut project that honors the roots of bluegrass while pushing the genre forward. With soaring instrumentals and heartfelt lyricism, the concise ten track record, What A Life, is adventurous, spirited and expansive, mastered by GRAMMY-winning engineer, David Glasser (Grateful Dead).

Magoo released the What A Life single, “Riding Trains,” in October and will follow with “Angel Of Telluride” on Friday (November 21), which features bluegrass legend Sam Bush.

“Inspired by real events, ‘Angel of Telluride’ is a story about meeting someone and falling in love at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival,” the band’s Courtlyn Bills shared.
