Mac DeMarco recently swung by KCRW Studios to deliver a solo acoustic performance. The singer-songwriter offered the first three songs from his latest record, Guitar, for the Los Angeles area public radio station.
Mac DeMarco released Guitar on August 22 via Mac’s Record Label. DeMarco released three singles ahead of the album’s arrival, “Home,” “Holy” and “Phantom”

Mac brought the latter as well as the two tracks that precede it on Guitar to his KCRW session.
“My name is Mac DeMarco,” he said ahead of the performance. “Here we are at KCRW in Santa Monica and I’ve got a new album that is here and I’m going to do the first three songs from the album. Now, I’ve never done them without my band before. So please forgive the clams and God bless you.”
DeMarco kicked off his KCRW session with Guitar opener “Shinning,” which he also recently performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “Sweeter” and the aforementioned “Phantom” followed.
