Lukas Nelson, Sierra Ferrell & Travelin’ McCourys Cover Neil Young’s ‘Unknown Legend’
Nelson and Ferrell recently performed the Harvest Moon song together at Farm Aid 40.

Lukas Nelson, Sierra Ferrell and The Travelin’ McCourys shared a collaborative cover of Neil Young’s classic song, “Unknown Legend.”
Nelson and Ferrell sang “Unknown Legend” together recently during the former's set at Farm Aid 40 in Minneapolis, where Young also performed. Speculated to be written about Young’s former wives, “Unknown Legend” first appeared on his 1992 album, Harvest Moon.
At Farm Aid, Nelson and Ferrell were accompanied by bassist Corey McCormick and fiddler Jake Simpson. On the studio version of “Unknown Legend,” the pair was backed by The Travelin’ McCourys.
“It’s a tribute to a timeless song from the iconic Neil Young album, Harvest Moon,” Nelson wrote. “We can’t wait for you to hear it!”
