Lollapalooza Announces Lineup For ‘Lolla2020’ Virtual Festival
Organizers of the Lollapalooza festival will present Lolla2020, a four-night free livestream broadcast set for the same dates as this year’s event, which was canceled due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Lolla2020 will include a mix of archival video, original performances, late-night sets and more starting on Thursday, July 30 and running through Sunday, August 2 on the JamBase Livestreams Calendar via YouTube.
The action starts at 5 p.m. CT each day with the full schedule due this Wednesday, July 29. Viewers are asked to donate to the festival’s partners: the Arts For Illinois Relief Fund, the Equal Justice Initative and When We All Vote.
Past Lollapalooza performances from Paul McCartney, Arcade Fire, Outkast, Chance The Rapper and Alabama Shakes will be among those aired during Lolla2020. Tank and the Bangas, Alison Wonderland, Carnage, H.E.R. and Louis The Child are just a few of the artists contributing new original live performances.
Founder Perry Farrell will take part in multiple sets including the first Porno For Pyros reunion in 24 years. All told, Lolla2020 will feature over 150 performances and appearances. See the full lineup in the graphic below:
