Lockn’ Festival To Return In 2017 For 5th Annual Installment

After a stellar event featuring a lineup that brought together Phish, Ween, My Morning Jacket, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Phil Lesh & Friends, the Tedeschi Trucks Band and many others, the Lockn’ Festival will return for Year Five in 2017. The fifth annual Lockn’ Festival will be held August 24 – 27 at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia.

The big news here is that the event will keep to the same weekend it was held in 2016 following its former time slot of the second weekend in September from 2013 – 2015. GA, VIP & Super VIP ‘Lumni tickets will go on sale this Friday, September 16 at 12 p.m. ET for a limited time, and for the first time ever ‘Lumni camping passes will be available at special ‘Lumni prices. All past Lockn’ ticket purchasers will be eligible to purchase Lockn’ ‘Lumni tickets with a code that will be mailed to them Friday morning before ‘Lumni tickets go on sale. Head here for more details.

It will be very interesting to see what direction organizers go with the 2017 lineup. Before 2016 you could count on Widespread Panic, the String Cheese Incident and Warren Haynes to perform at the event, but all three acts skipped Lockn’ this time around. Meanwhile, Phish, Ween and MMJ were among the bands that made their Lockn’ debuts in 2016. Stay tuned!
