The 2016 Lockn’ Festival will take place at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia August 25 – 28. Following last month’s announcement of the festival’s initial lineup, a batch of artist additions have been announced today.
Guitarist Neal Casal’s Circles Around The Sun project will make its live debut at Lockn’ ’16. Casal formed the band to record original music that was played during setbreaks at the five Fare Thee Well – Celebrating 50 Years Of Grateful Dead performances last year. Check out our interview with Neal. EOTO have been added the Lockn’ lineup as have Hard Working Americans, Moon Taxi, Donna The Buffalo and Doobie Decibel System featuring Jay Lane, Jason Crosby and Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz.
The artists announced today join a lineup that already included two nights of Phish, Ween and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead plus performances from My Morning Jacket, Gary Clark Jr., Umphrey’s McGee and many others. More acts will be announced soon. Tickets are available via the festival’s website.
