Little Feat brought out surprise guest Roosevelt Collier during their concert last night in Fort Lauderdale. The legendary band welcomed the fourth-generation sacred steel guitarist for two songs towards the end of the show at The Parker.

Collier has been keeping busy of late as a member of Jelly Roll's band. The jam scene veteran, who was born and raised in South Florida, first came to prominence as a member of The Lee Boys.

Little Feat — co-founding member, keyboardist Bill Payne, longtime members, bassist Kenny Gradney, percussionist Sam Clayton and multi-instrumentalist Fred Tackett, and guitarist Scott Sharrard and drummer Tony Leone — delivered a 17-song performance on Thursday night as they continued their Can’t Be Satisfied Tour. The setlist featured a bevy of classics, including “Fat Man In The Bathtub,” “Oh Atlanta,” “Spanish Moon,” “Time Loves A Hero,” “Day Or Night” and “Sailin’ Shoes.”

Roosevelt Collier initially emerged for a cover of Little Walter’s “Mellow Down Easy,” one of the songs Little Feat recorded for their 2024 album, Sam’s Place. Collier shredded on a guitar that hung low on his frame while using a slide and engaged in a back-and-forth with Scott Sharrard.

Little Feat followed Collier’s first appearance with fan-favorites “Willin'” and “Dixie Chicken.” Roosevelt Collier then returned for the “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now” finale and once again let it rip.
