Montana-based string band The Lil Smokies shared their cover of Tom Petty’s “Learning To Fly.” The track is the latest installment of their SnowGhost Singles series.

“Learning to Fly” joins the previously released “Kansas City,” “Rocket Man,” “Going To California”, “Paperback Writer” and “Even The Darkness Has Arms.” While The Lil Smokies have a great deal of original material, SnowGhost Singles is a series of the band’s most-requested covers. All of the songs were tracked at SnowGhost Music studio with engineer Brett Allen and assistant engineer Jerry Sandler over the course of a single day.
