Wilco will bring Winterlude back home to Chicago this December. The band announced concerts at the Chicago Theatre on December 4 and 5, marking the first Chicago installment of the hometown tradition in seven years.

The newly confirmed dates currently comprise a two-show Winterlude run. Wilco previously held four Winterlude concerts at the Chicago Theatre from December 15 – 19, 2019.

Winterlude’s roots stretch back to December 2011, when Wilco performed at five different Chicago venues over the course of a week. The Winterlude name was introduced for a six-night Riviera Theatre residency in December 2014 featuring unique setlists each night.

Wilco revived the concept in 2024 but took it outside Chicago. Dubbed “The Shows FKA Winterlude,” the eight-concert run featured multi-night stands in Austin, Tulsa and St. Paul.

A presale for Wilco’s December 2026 Winterlude shows begins Wednesday, September 16 at 10 a.m. CT using the code WINTERLUDE. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 18 at 10 a.m. CT.
