NPR Music shared a Tiny Desk (Home) Concert from Laura Marling. The singer-songwriter performed a trio of songs from her recently released album, Songs For Our Daughter.
While many artists have postponed the release of their albums due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, Marling moved the release date for Songs For Our Daughter up from late summer to April. The album is an homage to future generations of women, inspired by Maya Angelou’s collection of essays, Letter to My Daughter. Laura kicks off her Tiny Desk session with the album’s second song, “Held Down.” She continues with the record’s third entry, “Strange Girl,” and closes out the session with the LP’s title track.
