‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ Taps Joe Russo As Guest Drummer For House Band

Drummer Joe Russo made his national television debut performing with Craig Finn back in 2015 on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers and returned to the show with Finn earlier this year. Today, Russo has revealed he’s been tapped as a guest drummer for the program’s house band.

Joe Russo will be behind the kit for the Studio 8G Band during the week of October 9. Russo’s guest appearances come in the middle of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s six-show Fall Ball 2018 concerts at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. The New Jersey native follows in a long line of talented drummers who have guest with the Studio 8G band including Primus drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander, Paul McCartney drummer Abe Laboriel Jr., Galactic’s Stanton Moore, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Wilco’s Glenn Kotche, Sleater-Kinney’s Janet Weiss and several others.
