Watch Lake Street Dive & Devon Gilfillian Deliver Choice Bonnie Raitt Cover In Nashville

Lake Street Dive assembled in September for a backyard show at Jaan’s House in Nashville. Paste Magazine shared three covers the band played including a rendition of Bonnie Raitt’s “Nick Of Time” featuring special guest Devon Gilfillian.

“Nick Of Time” was one of six covers Lake Street Dive recorded for their recently released Fun Machine: The Sequel EP. Gilfillian shared lead vocals with LSD’s Rachael Price on the title track from Raitt’s 1989 studio album at Jaan’s House. Devon Gilfillian will open for Lake Street Dive on December 30 in New Haven, Connecticut and on New Year’s Eve in Boston.

Lake Street Dive — Price, bassist Bridget Kearney, drummer Mike Calabrese, guitarist James Cornelison and keyboardist Akie Bermiss — also performed takes on The Pointer Sisters’ “Automatic” and Shania Twain’s “You’re Still The One” in Nashville. Both covers are featured on Fun Machine: The Sequel.
