This Saturday, October 7, a new exhibit entitled Phish In The North Country opens at the Tarrant Gallery at the Flynn in Burlington, Vermont. Phish In The North Country documents the rich history of Phish with a focus on “local” shows, i.e. those within striking distance for Vermonters, and runs through December 30. The band’s archivist, Kevin Shapiro helped the Flynn Center put the exhibit together and recently gave the Burlington Free Press a tour:
The exhibit not only celebrates Phish’s 34-year history, but also the 20th anniversary of the band’s WaterWheel Foundation charitable arm. Posters, artwork and other memorabilia will be on display. Shapiro will host a gallery talk on November 4 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Read an essay about Phish penned by the Flynn Box Office Director Of Operations.
Phish In The North Country can be viewed Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those attending performances at the Flynn can also view the exhibit prior to most MainStage shows and during intermissions.
