Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Welcomes Phil Lesh At Terrapin Crossroads

Funk-rockers Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe returned to Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California on Thursday night. Multi-instrumentalist Karl Denson and his band were joined by the venue’s proprietor, Phil Lesh, for a portion of the evening.
The Grateful Dead bassist sat-in with KDTU on three songs. Phil contributed to a cover of “Live With Me” by The Rolling Stones. Lesh also lent a hand on “Viola Lee Blues” and “Shakedown Street.” Denson played his first show as a member of Phil Lesh & Friends at the venue just about one year prior. Ever since Karl D. has collaborated with Phil a number of times.
