John Mayer Wears Disguise & Performs On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live was promoted as featuring a performance by Hank “The Hawk” Knutley. The purported musical guest turned out to be John Mayer who after removing a disguise performed a song from his upcoming solo album The Search For Everything.
Prankster host Jimmy Kimmel introduced guitarist Hank “The Hawk” Knutley, the “living legend” sitting-in with the house band Cleto And The Cletones who was promoting a live album titled Knutley N Your Face. Kimmel’s monologue continued with the pair exchanging some silly banter and then just before “Knutley” and his band (featuring drummer Steve Jordan, bassist Pino Palladino and others) were set to perform, Mayer’s costume was removed and his true identity revealed.
Mayer then led the ensemble through “Still Feel Like Your Man” that appears on The Search For Everything which comes out April 14. Watch Mayer as The Hawk and with his band performing “Still Feel Like Your Man” in the video below:
