John Hiatt & Jerry Douglas Band Share ‘I’m In Asheville’ Single
Renowned singer-songwriter John Hiatt continues to preview his Leftover Feelings collaborative album with the Jerry Douglas Band with the release of single “I’m In Asheville” and an accompanying video. Leftover Feelings arrives via New West Records on May 21.
Douglas produced the follow-up to Hiatt’s 2018 LP The Eclipse Sessions. Hiatt assembled with the Jerry Douglas Band to record the 11-track Leftover Feelings at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio B. Singles “Mississippi Phone Booth” and “Long Black Electric Cadillac” were released earlier this year.
Relix premiered the “I’m In Asheville” video which was filmed at RCA Studio B by co-directors Lagan Sebert and Ted Roach. “It’s a song about a guy who’s left his lover in all but his mind and heart,” Hiatt told Relix of his new single. “Jerry’s aching steel guitar floating above the rolling fiddle and the pulse of the bass and rhythm just expands on the dubious decision this fellow has made.”
