Joe Marcinek’s Dead Funk Summit Announces May 2022 Concert In New Orleans
George Porter Jr. and Melvin Seals will be among those joining the guitarist in the Big Easy.

Guitarist Joe Marcinek will present a Joe Marcinek’s Dead Funk Summit concert featuring legendary The Meters bassist George Porter Jr. and famed Jerry Garcia Band keyboardist Melvin Seals in New Orleans during Jazz Fest. Toulouse Theatre will host the Dead Funk Summit on Tuesday, May 3.
Marcinek, Porter and Seals will be joined by bassist/guitarist Tony Hall, keyboardists John “Papa” Gros and Michael Lemmler, drummers Deven Trusclair and Terrence Houston and trombonist Alex Wasily at the Toulouse Theatre on May 3. Look for the setlist to focus on Grateful Dead and funk classics.
