Jenny Lewis Joins Ryan Adams In Santa Barbara
By Andy Kahn Aug 5, 2016 • 9:58 am PDT

Last night, Ryan Adams held a show at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California. The performance saw fellow singer-songwriter and frequent collaborator Jenny Lewis sit-in with Adams and his band The Shining on a pair of songs.
Lewis was on hand with her newly formed band Nice As Fuck who served as openers for the evening. Adams and Lewis have shared the stage together regularly since the former produced the latter’s 2014 LP Voyager. Lewis emerged toward the end of the main set to lead The Shining on her original “She’s Not Me” that was recorded for Voyager. She also stuck around to assist on Adams’ longtime favorite “Oh My, Sweet Carolina.”
Audience-shot video of Lewis fronting Adams & The Shining on “She’s Not Me” was captured by mano1971music, watch the sit-in followed by footage of “Halloweenhead” from last night below:
Nice As Fuck – which also includes Erika Forster and Tennessee Thomas – opens for Ryan Adams & The Shining again tonight at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
