Jennifer Hartswick, Nick Cassarino & Christian McBride Share Bonnie Raitt Cover

Jennifer Hartswick, Nick Cassarino and Christian McBride shared a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Ain’t Gonna Let You Break My Heart Again.” The trio recorded the song at Trey Anastasio’s Vermont recording facility The Barn during the sessions for Hartswick’s 2018 album, Nexus.

Hartswick’s Nexus LP also featured contributions from her fellow Trey Anastasio Band members drummer Russ Lawton and trombone player Natalie Cressman. The version of Raitt’s “I Ain’t Gonna Let You Break My Heart Again,” however, just features Hartswick’s amazing vocals and trumpet over Cassarino’s guitar and the upright bass of six-time Grammy-winner Christian McBride.
