Jeff Tweedy Only Repeats One Song During Fillmore Run

Wilco front man Jeff Tweedy completed a two-night stand at The Fillmore in San Francisco last night as part of a West Coast solo tour. Despite telling the crowd at the first show he intended to repeat most of the material the next night, Tweedy only repeated one song at both performances -“California Stars.”

On Wednesday night’s show Tweedy focused on many of Wilco’s best known songs including “I Am Trying To Break Your Heart,” “Jesus, Etc.,” “California Stars,” “A Shot In The Arm” and “I’m The Man Who Loves You,” before digging deep into his repertoire last night. Thursday’s performance saw opening act Scott McCaughey emerge to join Jeff on covers of “Oklahoma U.S.A.” by The Kinks of John Lennon’s “God.” Tweedy worked plenty of banter into both shows as he ranted about Cheez-Its on Wednesday (a running gag that continued into Thursday) and called San Francisco the greatest place to play music last night. He also worked a mention of “Garcia” into his performance of “God” as one of the things the singer doesn’t believe in.

Here’s a look at both setlists:
