Ben Harper recently played his new Taylor Guitars Gold Label signature guitar during an appearance at Truetone Music store in Santa Monica, California. Renowned singer-songwriter Jackson Browne accompanied Harper on a cover of Warren Zevon’s “Mutineer.”

Harper’s performance was the first live music event at the new Truetone Music location, which is a few blocks from its original spot in Santa Monica. Harper also played slide on a Weissenborn guitar.

“If I could do this every night of the week with Jackson, I swear I would,” Harper wrote about the experience.

“Mutineer” was the title track to Warren Zevon’s 1995 studio album. Written by Zevon, who died in 2003 at age 56, the song has been covered by numerous other artists.

Harper and Truetone posted videos and photos of the event. Check out “Mutineer” and more below.
