The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) shared a video of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy leading a cover of Neil Young’s “The Old Country Waltz.” The performance was recorded at The Hideout in Chicago.

Backing Tweedy were his sons, Spencer Tweedy on drums and Sammy Tweedy on vocals, along with pedal steel guitarist James Elkington, bassist Liam Kazar and vocalist Sima Cunningham. Young recorded “The Old Country Waltz” in 1976 during sessions that became the Hitchhiker album, which was finally released in 2017. A version of the song appeared on the 1977 Neil Young & Crazy Horse album, American Stars ‘n Bars.
