Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy was among the guests on Monday’s A Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Tweedy spoke with Stephen Colbert about a variety of topics, debuted a song inspired by one of the host’s monologues and provided a web exclusive performance of “Guess Again.”

Stephen asked Jeff how The Tweedy Show livestream series came together. Tweedy explained the genesis of the show and then discussed his new book, How To Write One Song. Jeff went on to talk about the healing power of music and how his recently released solo album, Love Is The King, was born out of a reaction to the pandemic.

The interview segment ended with Jeff Tweedy debuting a song inspired by a recent Colbert monologue. A Late Show With Stephen Colbert also shared a Jeff Tweedy-led performance of Love Is The King track “Guess Again.” Jeff’s band consisted of drummer Spencer Tweedy, guitarist James Elkington, bassist Liam Kazar and backing vocalists Sammy Tweedy and Sima Cunningham.
