Japanese Breakfast Brings Out Beck For ‘The Golden Age’ & More At Greek Theatre
Blake Mills also joined the Michelle Zauner-led band in Los Angeles.

Japanese Breakfast’s tour supporting their album For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women) stopped at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre on Friday night. The Michelle Zauner-led band was joined by Beck for a special guest appearance, as well as the album’s producer, guitarist Blake Mills.
Beck was tasked with joining Japanese Breakfast on a performance of the For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women) track “Men In Bars.” The album version featured actor/musician Jeff Bridges.
“Since Beck is one of my favorite songwriters of all time, he’s gonna treat us to one of my favorite songs ever written,” Zauner said at the song’s completion.
Beck remained onstage to lead Zauner and her bandmates through, “The Golden Age,” from his 2002 album, Sea Change. View the Japanese Beck-fast collabs below:

Mills, who contributed extensively to the new album, was also onstage playing guitar during Beck’s guest spot. Mills was first brought out to join the band on guitar for the For Melancholy Brunettes track “Leda.” View audience-captured footage of “Leda” here:
