JamBase Presents The Motet Winter Tour & Exclusive Premiere Of Pro-Shot Red Rocks 2016 Full Show Video

Colorado funk act The Motet played before a capacity crowd at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on July 22. JamBase teamed with The Motet to present the show and JamBase is thrilled to also be presenting the band’s upcoming Winter Tour. In honor of the occasion, The Motet has unveiled professionally-shot video of their Red Rocks ’16 set, which we’re pleased to premiere below.

“As a young boy from Maine, I always dreamed of seeing the legendary Red Rocks,” said frontman Lyle Divinsky about band’s headlining set at Red Rocks last July. “On my 6-month anniversary with The Motet, I was beside myself realizing that not only would I see it, but I would be headlining to a sold-out, hometown crowd. It was all so surreal. Here I was with this amazing band that had brought me in with open arms, this community who welcomed me to the family like I had always been there, and we were playing after one of my favorite new bands and a band I’ve idolized for over a decade.

“It felt like I should be nervous, but really, it felt like I was home. The crowd didn’t stop dancing as they sung along to songs that we release had just two weeks prior, it was extraordinary. They gave themselves fully, and it really inspired us to push ourselves further because of it. That show was the most concentrated energetic experiences I’ve ever been a part of. We left it all on the stage, and I pretty much collapsed immediately afterward, we just gave everything we had. It was one of the greatest nights of my life.”

Watch a playlist featuring all 15 songs The Motet played at Red Rocks on July 22:

This January The Motet will embark on their 2017 Winter Tour presented by JamBase. Up first are four nights in the band’s home state of Colorado including stops in Telluride, Aspen and Keystone. Then, The Motet returns to Jam Cruise and will play the event’s official after party in Fort Lauderdale on January 25. February finds the group headlining The Fillmore in San Francisco for the first time and also features visits to Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico.

“Our upcoming Winter Tour has a lot of great stops, including some of our favorite venues in the country, but we couldn’t be more excited about our first headlining show at The Fillmore in San Francisco!,” drummer Dave Watts said. “We love playing in the Bay area because our fans out there always show us such incredible love and support. Performing for some of our favorite fans at such a historic and respected venue as The Fillmore is truly an honor. We’re anticipating our San Francisco show is going to be one of the best of the year, with lots of new material and some amazing special guests. Other highlights for this upcoming winter are: Jam Cruise (of course!), Keystone (our annual ski town blowout!), Crystal Bay (blackjack anyone??), Gem and Jam (we love Tuscon!) and Taos (let’s get weird!).”
