By Scott Bernstein May 11, 2014 • 6:50 am PDT

Crazy Fingers has been a staple of the South Florida music scene since the early ’90s and are considered one of the premier Grateful Dead cover bands. Corey passed as a result of an auto accident that occurred on April 2. The Motet paid tribute to Corey on Saturday night at The Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton, FL with their rendition of “Fire on The Mountain”:
Earlier today Crazy Fingers shared the following message on their Facebook page: Everybody who is able, please come to Boston’s in Delray Beach tonight for the Crazy Fingers show at 730pm. We all need to say goodbye to our friend and brother Corey Dwyer, and we want everyone to be there if they can. For all who can’t make it, please send us your thoughts and prayers, and know that you will be missed.
Update 5/12 11:30 a.m. PT: Last night, as noted above, Corey’s friends -musical and otherwise -gathered at Boston’s in Delray Beach to celebrate Dwyer’s life. Watch Jerry Leeman, Pete Weintraub & Keil Brand along with Bubba Newton, Billy Gilmore, Rich Friedman & Josh Foster perform Van Morrison’s “Into The Mystic” in memory of their fallen brother:
