IGE Music & Art Immersion Announces 2019 Musical Ambassador Lineup

The 2019 intallment of Innovative Giving Enhancement (IGE) will be held in Lisbon, Portugal. Organizers of the 10 day/9 night immersion of music and art, which will take place October 4 – 13, announced the lineup of musical ambassadors.

Anders Beck and Paul Hoffman of Greensky Bluegrass, pianist Holly Bowling, guitarists Ross James and Scott Law, vocalist Nicki Bluhm, Twiddle frontman Mihali, Midnight North/Terrapin Family Band members Elliott Peck and Grahame Lesh are among this year’s musical ambassadors. TAB’s Natalie Cressman and James Casey as well as Ian Faquini, Sam Grisman and Matt Butler are also aboard for IGE 2019.

In a new twist, Fruition is coming to Lisbon, which marks the first time an entire band is part of the lineup. All of these musical ambassadors will team with European All-Stars for “intentionally immersive collaborations and momentous improvisational performances.” IGE Founder Michael Becker noted the trip is a memorable one like none other both for participants and musicians. “It is one thing to see the artists in their bands, and quite another to experience them personally as they discover inspiration. IGE removes the artists from their bands and environments so that they explore, create and discover new musical contexts,” Becker said.

“An IGE immersion is like no musical excursion you will participate in. It’s incomparable to any vacation – becoming a community in a foreign land to appreciate culture, art and music is the way to get to know a city like you never can sightseeing alone. On Immersions you are simultaneously a traveller and at home with a group of common minded people,” added IGE veteran Paul Hoffman. Head here to book a trip or for more information.
