The 2018 installment of the High Sierra Music Festival will be held July 5 – 8 at Plumas-Sierra Fairgrounds in Quincy, California. Last month, organizers of the 28th annual High Sierra announced the initial lineup and today a bevy of additions have been made.

Grace Potter, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Foundation Of Funk, The Floozies, Margo Price, The Motet and Ernest Ranglin are among the lineup additions revealed today. Other newly-added acts include Billy Strings, Rising Appalachia, Ruthie Foster, Scott Pemberton, Ghost Light and Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds. This year’s The Nth Power set will find the band presenting a “Rebel Music” Bob Marley Tribute. Also of the note is the return of troubadour Nathan Moore.

The artist additions join a lineup that already includes two nights of The String Cheese Incident as well as Sturgill Simpson, Lettuce, The Wood Brothers, The California Honeydrops, Turkuaz, Lotus, Antibalas, Hippo Campus, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Twiddle, Spafford, Lebo & Friends, The Barr Brothers, Fruition and more. Bassist George Porter Jr., organist Melvin Seals and drummer Jay Lane have signed on for the Lebo & Friends set, while Andy Coe, Tarki Abouzied and Reed Mathis will be featured with the Skerik Band. Check out the full lineup below.

High Sierra Music Festival was initially held July 4 – 7, 1991 in Leland Meadows, California and the famed event has been held either on July 4th weekend or close to it each year since. A community of festivalgoers and bands has formed around High Sierra as it moved from Leland Meadows to Bear Valley to its current home in Quincy, which has hosted the festival each year since 1998 with the exception of 1999. In addition to plenty of music across many stages over the course of four days, attendees can also enjoy High Sierra’s intimate artist “playshops,” an interactive Family area, daily parades, multiple food and beverage options, yoga, pilates and dance classes. Music runs from the morning until late in the night each day.

Advance 4-Day passes and other packages are on sale now via Eventbrite.
