Hermanos Gutiérrez Bring ‘Sonido Cósmico’ Gems To KEXP

Hermanos Gutiérrez captured a Live on KEXP session back in June. The guitar duo of brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez offered songs from their 2024 album Sonido Cósmico.
The Black Keys‘ Dan Auerbach produced Sonido Cósmico, with the LP arriving on June 14, 2024 via Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound. Hermanos Gutiérrez launched their Live on KEXP session with a pairing of the album’s “Lágrimas Negras” and “El Fantasma,” which saw Alejandro on lap steel guitar.

The duo continued with the title track off Sonido Cósmico, a song which Estevan noted was inspired by the recent Dune films. The record’s “Cumbia Lunar” followed before Hermanos Gutiérrez wrapped the session with Sonido Cósmico single “Until We Meet Again.”
