Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams took her solo tour to Chicago for a concert Tuesday at the Aragon Ballroom. Like many other stops on the tour, Williams recruited a special guest with American Football’s Mike Kinsella becoming the latest to share the stage.
Williams began her tour in support of her third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, in March. Among the surprise guests who have appeared with Williams include Jason Isbell, Annie DiRusso, Claud, City And Colour’s Dallas Green and H2O frontman Toby Morse. Actor Meghann Fahy also appeared recently with Williams.
In 2019, Williams sang alongside Kinsella on the track “Uncomfortably Numb,” which appeared on the third self-titled American Football album. Kinsella’s upcoming tour dates with American Football includes headlining shows and spots supporting Bleachers.
Williams returns to the Aragon for a second Chicago show tonight. Watch clips of Kinsella arriving during last night’s encore to join Williams on “Parachute” below:
