Hayes Carll Announces New Album ‘What It Is’ & 2019 Tour Dates And Shares Single
Hayes Carll will release his sixth studio album What It Is on February 15 via Dualtone Records. The singer-songwriter shared the record’s lead single “None’ya” and confirmed an extensive 2019 U.S. tour in support of the LP.
The forthcoming release was co-produced by Brad Jones and Carll’s fiancee Allison Moorer, who also co-wrote a handful of tracks on the LP. “This record is made with the spirit of change, about my world and the world around me. To let go of excuses. To find the courage to live life. To be in the moment,” Carll told Rolling Stone Country about the album. “I take stock of myself and the world around me and write about it. Sometimes that’s my relationships, sometimes that’s my buddy at the bar and sometimes that’s political.” Listen to the record’s lead track “None’ya.” which he wrote about Moorer, below:
In February, Hayes Carll begins his 2019 tour with a series of dates in Texas. Carll then focuses on the Midwest before heading to the Northeast. The tour is currently slated to end on the West Coast in early May. Check out a full list of tour dates below:
