Happy Birthday Warren Haynes | Warren & Friends At DelFest 2011

We’d like to wish a very happy birthday to Warren Haynes, who turns 55 today. Often noted as “the hardest-working man in rock,” Warren has shown no signs of slowing down despite the end of The Allman Brothers Band last October. Haynes has already completed the long-awaited Sco-Mule featuring Gov’t Mule joined by guitarist John Scofield and is expected to release a new album in which he’s backed by Railroad Earth this summer.

To celebrate Warren’s birthday, let’s look back at Haynes’ set from the 2011 installment of DelFest. The guitarist’s “Warren Haynes & Friends Acoustic” set featured many special guests including members of Railroad Earth, The Del McCoury Band, Leftover Salmon, The String Cheese Incident and even Del McCoury himself. Stellar video of the set containing crispy audio gives us the chance to take in such gems as a “Patchwork Quilt”/”China Doll” sequence, a stirring “Wild Horses” and a “Soulshine” featuring a bevy of special guests.
