Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio appeared with Hank Heaven at their release party held Saturday at Church Street Boxing Gym in New York City. The sit-in saw Anastasio joining a performance of “Hank Heaven’s 113th Wet Dream” from the new EP, Welterweight.
The concert at Church Street Boxing Gym was in celebration of Welterweight, which Hank Heaven released on Friday. The facility’s boxing ring served as the in-the-round stage for the show. The band included Palehound (El Kempner) and Emeline O’Rourke on guitar, Ned Steves on bass and Zac Coe on drums.
Prior to Anastasio’s sit-in, Hank Heaven welcomed Annie DiRusso into the ring to augment “The Pope Is From Chicago.” The show also featured cellist/vocalist book NOT brooke, who was inside the ropes for “Hank Heaven’s 113th Wet Dream.”
