Guns N’ Roses Revive ‘Appetite For Destruction’ Deep Cut In Turkey

Guns N’ Roses hit Istanbul’s Tüpraş Stadyumu on Monday. The rockers changed up their setlist to include “Out ta Get Me,” a deeper cut off their 1987 debut album, Appetite for Destruction.

For the band’s Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things Tour, Guns N’ Roses have been opening their concerts with Appetite for Destruction’s “Welcome to the Jungle.” The song made its first appearance as an opener since 2012 at the rockers’ tour kickoff near Seoul in early May.

Guns N’ Roses followed the Appetite opener with a deeper cut, “Out ta Get Me.” The performance in Istanbul marked the first time GNR played the song since November 2017 in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles, as per Setlist/FM stats. Additionally, missing from the setlist for the first time since 1993 was Appetite’s second track “It’s So Easy.”

In Istanbul, GNR did offer additional favorites such as “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “November Rain,” “Don’t Cry,” “Patience,” “You Could Be Mine” and “Civil War” along with the band’s renowned covers of Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” and Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” Guns N’ Roses also delivered the tour debut of English punk pioneers UK Subs’ “Down on the Farm.”
