Snarky Puppy will once again host and headline the GroundUP Music Festival February 14 – 16, 2020. The 2020 lineup for the event, which will be held at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach, has been revealed.

All three nights of GroundUP will feature a set from Snarky Puppy. In addition, saxphonist Chris Potter is aboard as a special guest and will take part in a special acoustic set with legendary musician Michael McDonald and Snarky Puppy’s Michael League. Lettuce, Lila Downs, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band are more of the acts set to play GroundUP in 2020.

“My vision for the festival is for people to maybe not recognize many artists on the bill but end up with a list of new artists they’ve discovered,” explained Snarky Puppy’s bandleader Michael League in a statement. “That’s the dream for me — to have people come and experience everything blind, in a very pure and open-minded way.” The festival will also include songwriting classes, improvisation exercises, guitar clinics, percussion circles, master classes, workshops and talks conducted by artists on the lineup.
