Greta Van Fleet postponed three concerts originally scheduled for this week due to an injury suffered by vocalist Josh Kiszka. The Michigan-based band’s frontman ruptured his eardrum while performing at Bangor, Maine’s Cross Insurance Center on October 8.

Shows postponed to allow Josh Kiszka time to heal were set for Raleigh, North Carolina tonight (Tuesday, October 18); Greenville, South Carolina tomorrow (Wednesday, October 19) and Jacksonville, Florida on Friday, October 21. While a show slated for Saturday, October 22 in Estero, Florida wasn’t mentioned by the band, the venue’s page for the concert is marked “canceled” and has been removed from Greta Van Fleet’s website.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we must reschedule our shows this upcoming week,” wrote Kiszka in an announcement on the band’s social feeds. “During our last show in Bangor, I ruptured an eardrum and upon further evaluation I have just been advised it needs more time to fully heal than initially anticipated. I’m working closely with my team to ensure I get proper rest in order to finish out the year strong.”

New dates are currently in the works and have yet to be announced. “I’m gutted to have to do this and I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate the love and support you give us every night,” added Kiszka. “It’s devastating me to make this announcement, but know it’s imperative in order to keep performing.” Tickets for the original shows will be valid on the new dates. Refunds will be available for ticketholders who cannot attend the rescheduled concerts.

Greta Van Fleet are expected to resume the tour in Hollywood, Florida on Tuesday, October 25. Read the full note from Josh Kiszka below:
