Gregg Allman Reveals Lineups For 2016 Laid Back Festival Stops & Dates With ZZ Top

This summer, Gregg Allman will bring his Laid Back Festival on the road for five single-day concert events. The lineups of acts joining the founding member of The Allman Brothers Band at each of the five Laid Back Festival stops has been confirmed. ZZ Top, who will appear at some of the Laid Back Festival performances, have also announced a series of summer dates that includes plenty of co-bills with Gregg.

The Laid Back Festival will kick off May 7 at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood near Atlanta, followed by Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel in Nashville on June 25, FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago on July 16, Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York on July 23 and Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver on September 25.

Along with the previously revealed lineups for Atlanta featuring ZZ Top and Blackberry Smoke, Chicago featuring Peter Frampton and Red Rocks featuring ZZ Top and Richie Furay Band, according to Rolling Stone Allman will appear alongside the likes of Shovels & Rope and Brothers Osborne in Nashville, and Jason Isbell, America, Marshall Tucker Band and Devon Allman in Wantagh. Gregg’s former ABB band mate Jaimoe will also perform at each Laid Back Festival stop with his Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band. View the complete lineups below.
