Greensky Bluegrass headlined the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival at Ross’s Landing in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Saturday. The quintet welcomed fellow festival performer fiddler Michael Cleveland for three songs to close out their set.
GSBG kicked off their 3 Sisters set with âMurder Of Crowsâ off their 2019 album, All For Money, followed by a tune, âReasons To Stay,â off their latest LP, Stress Dreams. The band then ran through âWorry For Youâ before exploring an expansive âDonât Lie,â clocking in at nearly 18 minutes.

More favorites in âLike Reflectionsâ and âThe Fourâ followed with the latter leading into Stress Dreamsâ âMonument.â Greensky then brought out Michael Cleveland. âWeâre gonna bring onstage about the coolest cat we know,â dobro player Anders Beck told the audience. âHeâs one of the most badass musicians in the world, I believe. And weâre lucky to have him as a friend. Please make welcome the one and only Michael Cleveland!â
The fiddle ace then added that high lonesome sound to guitarist Dave Bruzzaâs âBottle Dry.â Cleveland also starred on âLiving Overâ with an extended solo on the 10-minute rendition. The collab then closed the set with âReuben’s Train,â which featured a spicy exchange between Cleveland and Beck on the 13-minute romp through the bluegrass standard.
Greensky Bluegrass returned to encore with the Bruce Springsteen-penned, The Band-covered âAtlantic City.â Watch GSBGâs complete 3 Sisters set including the Michael Cleveland sit-in below:
