Greensky Bluegrass headlined the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival at Ross’s Landing in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Saturday. The quintet welcomed fellow festival performer fiddler Michael Cleveland for three songs to close out their set.

GSBG kicked off their 3 Sisters set with “Murder Of Crows” off their 2019 album, All For Money, followed by a tune, “Reasons To Stay,” off their latest LP, Stress Dreams. The band then ran through “Worry For You” before exploring an expansive “Don’t Lie,” clocking in at nearly 18 minutes.

More favorites in “Like Reflections” and “The Four” followed with the latter leading into Stress Dreams’ “Monument.” Greensky then brought out Michael Cleveland. “We’re gonna bring onstage about the coolest cat we know,” dobro player Anders Beck told the audience. “He’s one of the most badass musicians in the world, I believe. And we’re lucky to have him as a friend. Please make welcome the one and only Michael Cleveland!”

The fiddle ace then added that high lonesome sound to guitarist Dave Bruzza’s “Bottle Dry.” Cleveland also starred on “Living Over” with an extended solo on the 10-minute rendition. The collab then closed the set with “Reuben’s Train,” which featured a spicy exchange between Cleveland and Beck on the 13-minute romp through the bluegrass standard.

Greensky Bluegrass returned to encore with the Bruce Springsteen-penned, The Band-covered “Atlantic City.” Watch GSBG’s complete 3 Sisters set including the Michael Cleveland sit-in below:
