As reported, Greensky Bluegrass celebrated Halloween on Saturday with a Grateful Dead-themed concert at The Warfield in San Francisco. High-quality fan-shot video of a show featuring Holly Bowling on keyboards throughout and a guest appearance from Tea Leaf Green guitarist Josh Clark has surfaced.

Bowling and the members of the band — mandolinist Paul Hoffman, guitarist Dave Bruzza, bassist Mike Devol, banjo player Michael Bont and dobroist Anders Beck — wore white suits for the occasion in tribute to the photo used on the Dead’s 1980 LP, Go To Heaven. Greensky tapped photographer Jay Blakesberg to introduce them in the same way impresario did for the Dead at Great American Music Hall on August 13, 1975.

“6reensky” presented a mix of originals and songs from the Grateful Dead’s live repertoire at The Warfield on Saturday. “Feel Like A Stranger,” “It Must Have Been The Roses,” “Let It Grow,” “They Love Each Other,” “St. Stephen” and “U.S. Blues” each saw their GSBG debuts in San Francisco. The latter was the encore and saw Clark add electric guitar to the evening’s finale. “Jack Straw” and “Going Down The Road Feelin’ Bad” were also played by the group on Saturday for the first time since 2009 and 2016, respectively.
